When Jesus met up with his disciples after the resurrection, he gave them a commandment to go out and share the good news! That means we are to do that, too! For the next several weeks, we will have opportunities to explore and experience all of the many ways we can tell the stories of our faith. There will be sermons, but there will also be several special worship services including youth worship, a choir Sunday, Confirmation, and Pentecost!
What are the marks of true Christian community? The writer of the first epistle of John says that the primary mark is to live in love. The church community of that time was dealing with schism, and seeking a deeper understanding of its purpose and call. The same is true for the church today. As we seek to understand and live our call, we are reminded that the primary goal is to live in love. By doing so, we live in God and God lives in us. We tell the story most effectively by living into God's call of love.
