All of us have different identities to fit different situations--we need to, so that we don't share our best friend's inside joke with our boss and make everyone uncomfortable.  But sometimes we create new identities to make sure that no one knows who we really are...including, maybe especially, God.  Maybe Jesus is offering the opportunity to simplify how many identities we carry, calling us by name and saying, "This is the one I love."
