The life of the Church is cyclical, always returning through the rites and rituals that ground us in the faith — life, change, death, resurrection. We see this pattern all around us in creation and, as we consider the sorrow and hope of recognizing Pride and its origins in a riot for survival, we see this pattern in the reality of being in the rainbow. Much of the harm done to the LGBTQ+ has been done at the Church's hands; when we speak our affirmation now, what are we doing to soothe as well as advocate for? How are we as people of faith not only becoming people who speak against injustice but also people who actively seek justice laced through with our own repentance and transformation?
