God has a habit of going off-script, at least where our own scripts and ideas about who God is and how God “should” act are concerned. From the very first realization that the Messiah was a baby instead of a warrior, God has challenged us to think differently about what it means for us to be in relationship with the Holy. In this sermon on the Song of Simeon, we’ll think together about how God is inviting us to be surprised into improvisation in our own lives.
