Confirmation is an important step in our faith formation process. It’s an invitation to think deeply about faith, and an opportunity to ask big questions as we wrestle with what it means to be Christian in general, a United Methodist in particular, and a member of this congregation specifically. Throughout the class we will discuss topics like the Trinity, prevenient grace, prayer and worship, the nature of the Bible, the structure of the church and much more!

The purpose of confirmation is not to teach you everything this is to know about faith, but to provide you with mentors who will help you along the journey. As always, our priority is not to tell you what to think, but to teach you how to think.

When: Sundays from 4:30-6 p.m. from 1/26-5/18 – the classes will take place on 10 Sunday afternoons

Where: Calkins Hall Downtown

Who: 8th-12th Graders

At the end of the class, confirmands will have the opportunity to confirm their faith and join the Methodist church as full members during the worship service on Pentecost Sunday, May 19th.
