Advocacy Day 2025
Petitioning at the Capitol
On March 12, 2025 we participated in Advocacy Day at the Michigan State Capitol. We spent the day advocating with state legislators about the crisis in care resulting from the 2019 auto no-fault insurance changes in Michigan. The legislation we focused on would provide sustainable reimbursement rates for medical providers and increase the number of hours that family caregivers can be reimbursed.

Letters & posters
In addition to meeting with legislators, we wrote letters, made posters for the press conference, prayed in the Capitol rotunda and worshiped in the sanctuary at Central UMC, across the street from the Capitol.

Public witness through art
Papers cars decorated with hearts, bandaids and names of beloved people were displayed. These cars represented those impacted by car crashes, as well as all of us who take the risk each day.
