The FUMC Chancel Choir is proud to feature three critical musical selections by Dan Forrest in worship this morning! The centerpiece is his 2011 composition, Te Deum. It is a hymn of praise to God with foundations in the early church. The text draws on many earthly and heavenly beings to acknowledge His inherent worth. The Te Deum has become a standard expression of Christian faith through many generations. Along with other creedal statements of faith, the text provinces a model of substantive worship - worship that is based on the foundation of an Almighty Father, a Trinitarian Godhead, and salvation and eternal reward based on the birth, death, and resurrection of Christ.
